Katty Kay To Appear on ‘Jeopardy!’ for the IWMF
Washington, D.C. - The International Women’s Media Foundation thanks
Katty Kay, Washington Correspondent for BBC World News America, and its 2012 co-chair, for her selection of the IWMF as the recipient of her winnings during Jeopardy! Power Player Week 2012.
“We are all better off when there are more women in journalism to help our news reflect our society. The IWMF supports incredibly brave women journalists working in dangerous and repressive environments. These women risk their lives just to keep reporting the news, I’m honored to be associated with an organization that helps them do that,” said Katty Kay.
Elisa Lees Munoz, acting executive director of the IWMF added, “On behalf of the IWMF, our Board and all those who benefit from our programs, I would like to thank Katty for generously choosing the IWMF as the recipient of her winnings.”
