Cultivating Leadership

The proportion of women newsroom executives in the U.S. has hovered at a modest 29 percent since 2000. Women journalists around the world tell a similar story. One reason for the stagnation may be that women are abandoning the profession. To combat these trends, the IWMF sponsors global Leadership Institutes that give women the skills and the network they need to become successful newsroom leaders.
